Interpreter Services
Trained volunteers or agency interpreters are available to interpret for patients, family members and health care providers. All limited English-speaking patients who request this service must be provided with an interpreter at no cost to them. Our Hospital offers interpreter services in 140 languages, including American Sign Language for the hard of hearing or deaf patient. Interpreters are either available on-site by through the telephone. Respect for cultural practices and beliefs and adherence to a strict code of ethics, which includes the patient's right to privacy and confidentiality, are upheld at all times.
If an interpreter is necessary, please inform a member of your unit's healthcare team, who will contact the Hospital's Interpreter Services.
