How fast is my recovery after surgery to remove a carcinoid tumor?

If your surgery was completed laparoscopically your recovery is typically 5-7 days in the hospital and then a couple of weeks to complete recovery. However, recovery differs based on the location of the tumor and type of operation performed.

Do I need to take any medications after surgery?

Most patients only need to take pain medications for a short period of time after surgery.

How long do I need to follow-up after surgery?

Since carcinoid syndrome is a rare condition. We recommend life-long follow-up for this condition.
