Research Highlights
Our surgeons are exploring many important areas of research to advance the treatment options and improve outcomes for patients. These include intraoperative hyperthermic chemoprofusion of the abdominal cavity for metasatic gastrointestinal cancer, and research centered on pancreatic cysts and pancreatic cancer. Active research is ongoing in the areas of pancreatic tumors and colorectal cancer prevention. Research is also being conducted on the impact Polyphenone E, a natural extract from green tea, may have in stopping the progression of Barrett's Esophagus to esophageal cancer
